The information (phone numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Please note, message and data rates may apply.

By providing consent to receive text messages from Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, you may receive notifications and messages on topics such as:

  • Appointment reminders
  • Follow-up messages
  • Billing inquiries
  • Class Schedules

Example: “Hello, this is a reminder of your appointment with Dr. Smith in B100 on 3/1/2025 at 9 AM. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging at any time.”


Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, up to 2 SMS messages per week may be received related to appointments/billing, etc.

Example: “Message frequency may vary. You may receive up to 2 SMS messages per week regarding your appointments or account status.”


Date Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on the carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.


Opt-In Options

Opt-in to receive SMS messages from Pennsylvania Highlands Community can be done in the following ways:

  • Through verbal communication during a conversation.
  • Submitting a Request For Information form, stating you agree to receive text messages.
  • By emailing the Admissions or Registration offices.

Opt-Out Options

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages by simply replying “STOP” to any message. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request removal from our messaging list. To avoid receiving SMS messages from the start, leave the SMS consent box unchecked when filling out forms.

Opting out is quick and easy—just text “STOP” whenever you choose.
