Apply for federal Financial Aid on the web. You and your parent, if you must provide parent information, will need to create a Federal Student Aid Identification (FSA ID). The FSA ID is a username and password that you will use to log into certain U.S. Department of Education websites and electronically sign the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The PA State Grant program provides grants to eligible Pennsylvania residents who are in need of financial aid to attend a PHEAA-approved postsecondary school as undergraduate students. This link will take you to the state grant website.

Students applying for Federal Direct Loans must complete Loan Entrance Counseling. The Financial Aid Office will not certify your loan until Entrance Counseling is complete. You can complete this counseling online by clicking here or contact the Financial Aid Office for instructions on how to complete Entrance Counseling.
If you have received Federal Direct Loans at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College under the Direct Loan Program and will be graduating or will be transferring or have dropped to less than half time, you are required to complete Direct Loan Exit Counseling. You may complete this counseling online by clicking here.
