    The College Senate will serve as an advisory group to the President on matters of mutual interest to the Student Senate, the Faculty Senate, the Administrative Senate, and the Staff Senate. As such, it provides a structure to ensure that representatives of the various governance bodies of the College have a venue and a voice in the decision making processes of the College and that these representatives have an opportunity to hear the various opinions of their colleagues.

    The Board of Trustees is the policy-making body of the College and is ultimately responsible for setting the larger agenda for the institution. The Board is comprised of representatives from private, for-profit companies, education, and non-profits. The Cambria County Commissioners appoint 12 members to our Board of Trustees. Three additional members are board-appointed from locations in which the College has an academic center, and the Student Senate President serves as a voting member.

    The Board of Trustees meeting takes place at the Richland Campus in the Holtzman Board Room and/or via Zoom.

    The Student Engagement Awards Ceremony recognizes students who have achieved the highest academic level in their respective programs.

    Awards are given to students who have achieved the highest academic level in their respective programs, as well as those who will be inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success and Phi Theta Kappa. Club awards are also given to those students involved in their respective clubs. The club awards are based on both leadership and service. The nominations for the Distinguished Graduate Award will also be presented during this ceremony. The Distinguished Graduate accolade recognizes a student who has dedicated their time and efforts to enriching Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and the surrounding community while upholding an exemplary academic record. The Distinguished Graduate Award will be presented at this year’s Commencement.

    Commencement for the Thirtieth Graduating Class will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 6 PM. The ceremony will take place in the Richland Campus Auditorium. Graduates will report to East Hills Main Gymnasium by 5:15pm with gown, cap, and tassel. Guests will be asked to go directly to the Auditorium.

    This momentous occasion marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It is a time for reflection, gratitude, and looking ahead to the future. The dedication of our graduates is unmatched. We hope that this Commencement ceremony will be a joyful and memorable event for you and your loved ones.

    Guest Information

    Tickets will be distributed in early May after we confirm how many graduates are walking. They will have your names on them. If you need handicap tickets, please contact Student Activities.

    Guests should arrive no later than 5:45pm to gain entrance to the auditorium.

    Those who do not have a ticket will still be able to spend the evening with you on campus. They will be directed to the live-streaming areas on campus. This is also a great location for children to watch.

  • Cyber Security Student Boot Camp

    FREE Student Boot Camp for those interested in cybersecurity. It provides advanced face-to-face training for students in grades 9 – 12. This is a two-day boot camp, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, on June 24 and 26.

    • Advanced cybersecurity training for students in grades 9 – 12
    • Open discussion about cybersecurity trends, tools, and opportunities
    • Learn about programming and Linux Operating Systems, and create your own Kali Linux USB bootable drive
    • Explore the internal hardware components of a desktop computer
    • Instruction and mentoring from college faculty
    • Free lunch and USB drive with a bootable Linux Operating System
