Caring For Cubs Education Club Holiday Visit

    December 3, 2026, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm , Penn Highlands Ebensburg

A morning of holiday fun for preschool and Pre-K programs, hosted by future educators at Penn Highlands

The Caring for Cubs Education Club invites you to our annual Holiday Visit. Our Education students are planning a morning full of holiday activities, hands-on learning, creativity, and fun. We would love to welcome your little learners to campus.

Click here to reserve your spot.

    What Your Children Will Experience

Children will move through several holiday-themed activity rooms during the morning. Our Education students plan and lead each one.

    • Kinesthetic Room: Movement-based activities and interactive games build gross motor skills, coordination, and active play.
    • Story Time Room: Seasonal stories spark imagination, strengthen listening skills, and nurture a love of reading.
    • Craft Room: Little hands get creative with holiday crafts and hands-on projects that support fine motor development.
    • Snack Room: Children can take a break and enjoy cookies and holiday snacks.
    • A Special Holiday Visitor: Children will meet a special holiday guest and take home the moment with a photo.

    Plan Your Visit

How long should your group stay?

This is the question we hear most each year. We invite you to join us for the full morning, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Our activities are designed so children can explore, play, and create at a comfortable pace. We want them to enjoy each room fully instead of rushing from one to the next.

    Leaving early is perfectly fine.

We understand that every program, person, and family works around different transportation needs, lunch routines, and daily schedules. If you’d like to head out before 12:30 PM, that’s perfectly fine. Stay for as much of the morning as suits you.

Helping Shape the Next Generation of Teachers

The Caring for Cubs Education Club is made up of Penn Highlands students preparing to become elementary and secondary educators. This event gives them real, hands-on experience they can’t get from a textbook alone:

    • Planning developmentally appropriate activities
    • Leading small groups of young learners
    • Building confidence in the classroom
    • Connecting with families and early childhood programs in our community

When you attend, you give your children a memorable holiday morning. You also help our students grow the skills they need for successful teaching careers. It’s a true community effort, and we’re grateful for it.

    How to Reserve Your Spot

Reserving your spot is quick and easy. Complete our sign-up sheet and share two details:

    • Your anticipated arrival time
    • The number of children attending
    • You don’t need to commit to a departure time. You are welcome to stay as long as you like.

Three additional members are board-appointed from locations in which the College has an academic center, and the Student Senate President serves as a voting member.
