    Our Cause

The Chef Auction, with its 10+ year history of making a difference, originally began as an initiative of the 1889 Foundation. In 2023, the event entered a new chapter as the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Foundation took over stewardship, ensuring its impactful legacy continues. Thanks to your generosity, this year’s Chef Auction will support the Supporting Scholars Fund (Presidential, Emerging Leader, and Destination Graduation scholarships), along with other culinary scholarships. Together, we can empower future generations to thrive in our region.

    The Chefs

We extend our gratitude to the local restaurants and chefs who are dedicated to empowering community members as they strive for brighter futures… for themselves, their families, and the entire region. The current list of participating chefs and restaurants includes:

    • Balance Restaurant
    • Big Spring Spirits
    • Conemaugh Medical Center
    • Harrigan’s Cafe & Wine Deck
    • Omni Bedford Springs
